Innovative storage cells with state‑of‑the‑art noise reduction
Our dealer Frilim (Gorredijk) started the expansion of the boxstorage at LBB De Groot in the summer of 2025. A total project in which 8 new storage cells are realized for, among others, potatoes, sweet potatoes, red beets, and onions.
The customer's wish was clear: a modern installation with state‑of‑the‑art noise reduction. This is so that the new shed, which is placed close to the neighbors, produces as little noise as possible. With the help of large splitter attenuators, the ventilation noise is significantly reduced, while the airflow and product quality remain optimal.
With this expansion, the total number of cells comes to 17, all of which are controlled via the Croptimiz‑r. The existing mechanical cooling in a number of cells is also adjusted to this and precisely regulated. In addition, all cells are prepared for the installation of gas heaters, and humidifiers have been placed in various cells to further optimize the storage process.
